Capital Projects in Baltimore City Parks

Recreation and Parks Department Headquarters

Interested to see if the Recreation and Parks Department is prioritizing capital projects at your local park? The Recreation and Parks Department just published its annual request to fund certain capital projects. You can view the funding requests here where the requests are broken out by specific park project. While these are just requests for funding and will not necessarily be approved, you can get a good idea of which park capital projects are prioritized by the Recreation and Parks Department.

Personally, I was happy to see a request for funding at Dewees Park – which we pointed out in a recent article could use some attention. I was also glad to see requests to dredge the Patterson Park boat lake and renovate its athletic fields. Beyond these two parks, there are lots of requests for funds at parks throughout the City. Take a look and see if your park is mentioned. If not, and you have capital projects that you would like to see accomplished at your park, make sure to let the Recreation and Parks Department know.
